Delaram

Delaram arrived from Iran after being on the waiting list for more than a year. She is a lovely, cheerful young lady who was learning English phrases within hours of her arrival in the U.S. so she could talk with her caregivers.

Delaram was born with cloacal exstrophy, and needed major reconstructive surgery. We are happy to report that she successfully came through eight hours of surgery and after recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, has returned home to Iran.

Delaram was treated by Dr. Aseem Shukla and Ann Fahey, his nurse practitioner, at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, where she was also treated by Dr. Daniel Saltzman. We are thankful, once again, that our patient received the best medical care available from some of the finest doctors and facilities in the world.
